Advantio is thrilled to announce that we have been re-selected as a Global Executive Assessor Roundtable (GEAR) member for a third consecutive term for the period 2022-2024 by the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC).

The Roundtable is an Executive Committee level advisory board comprised of senior executives from top-tier, global PCI SSC assessor companies with multi-standard capabilities. It serves as a direct channel for communication between the senior leadership of payment security assessors and PCI SSC senior leadership.

Advantio is one of 28 organizations to join the 2022-2024 Roundtable in its efforts to secure payment data globally. As strategic partners, Roundtable members bring industry, geographical and technical insight to PCI SSC plans and projects on behalf of the assessor community and payment industry.

Speaking about Advantio’s inclusion, Chief Operating Officer and Director of Professional Services - Martin Petrov commented:

“We are proud to represent our own team of QSAs and also our clients’ organizations at the Roundtable. As previous members of GEAR, we have helped shape historic industry advancements and contributed to the positive industry outcomes that have come from this shared exchange forum. Through our deep expertise and far reaching geographic presence, we look forward to helping to influence and provide valuable insights to shape the future of the payment card industry.”

PCI SSC Executive Director - Lance J. Johnson said:

“The Council depends on the input of a wide range of stakeholders to provide PCI SSC with valuable insights.

With the release of version 4.0 of our PCI Data Security Standard this year, it is even more important to have active representation from every corner of the globe from an assessor's perspective. Assessors are critical in assisting the Council with our effort to improve and evolve payment data security.

We need voices from across the assessor community to help ensure we are providing the best standards and programs to support the industry in protecting against today’s modern cybercriminals. We’re pleased to have Advantio on the PCI SSC Global Executive Roundtable to provide critical insights and help us build on the great efforts that are already being done to increase payment security globally.”

To be eligible to serve on the Global Executive Assessor Roundtable (GEAR) a PCI SSC assessor company should be an active assessor for at least seven years, be actively participating in at least three assessor programs, and be present in three or more regions. Advantio is one of almost 400 QSA globally.

Since 2009, Advantio has been one of the most active QSA companies in the industry. The company is qualified to deliver against all Assessor programs within 4 out of 6 global regions including PCI DSS, PA-DSS/SSF, PCI PIN, PCI 3DS, P2PE, PCI TSP, and ASV. In terms of QSA practitioners, the number of Advantio QSAs is in the top 15 globally and the second largest in Europe.

In addition to the PCI standards, Advantio provides advisory and assessment services for: GDPR, PSD2, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, SOC2 & SWIFT CSP. These standards and security frameworks are complimented by additional cybersecurity services and technologies offered by Advantio including cyber maturity assessments, penetration testing, MDR, and its own proprietary compliance management system, ZeroRisk.
